Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.
Pelling is a small town in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim, at the foothills of Mount Khangchendzonga. The late-17th-century Buddhist Sanga Choling Monastery has mountain views. Pemayangtse Monastery features wall paintings, sculptures and a gold-plated statue of Guru Padsambhava. Overlooking a valley, the 17th-century Rabdentse Palace, now in ruins, still has evidence of the king’s bedroom and kitchen.

Day – 01: Bagdogra (IXB) / New Jalpaiguri (NJP) to Gangtok

Day – 02: Gangtok Local Sightseeing
After breakfast go for Gangtok local sightseeing covering Hanuman Tak,Ganesh Tak,Tashi view Point , Chortan, Stupa, Institute of Tibetology Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms along with Rumtek Monastery & Dharma Chakra Center (24Kms/45Mins), the sect of the Kargyupa Sect – one of the 4 major Tibetan Buddhist Sect. Evening free at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity. Overnight at hotel.
Day – 03: Day tour to Tsongo Lake & Baba Mandir
After breakfast half-day trip to Tsongo lake or Changu Lake (12400ft), which is only 32 kms from Gangtok City, the oval shaped lake is almost about 1Km long, and 15 mtrs deep. The lake is considered sacred by the local people,After that visit 18 kms from the lake Baba Mandir, (temple of disappeared army personal) and back to Gangtok. Evening free at Gangtok for shopping and individual activity. Overnight at hotel.

Day – 04: Gangtok to Pelling
Morning transfer to Pelling ( 133kms/5hrs ). Located at an altitude of 6,800 ft, Pelling is a very small Himalayan Town in West Sikkim. Pelling is the nearest motorable point to Mt. Kanchendzonga ( World’s 3rd highest peak ) offers a good sunrise along with view of the entire Eastern Himalayan range. Overnight at hotel.
Day – 05: Pelling Local Sightseeing
After breakfast start for full day local sightseeing in Pelling. In the fast half covering Rimbi Falls, Rock Garden, Sacred Kechodpalri Lake, and Kanchendzonga Falls. After lunch followed bythe second half of the days sightseeing covering Pemayangtse Monastery (the 2nd oldest monastery of Sikkim), Rabdantsay Ruins (2nd Capital of Sikkim) & Sunset Point Overnight at hotel.
Day – 06 : Pelling to Bagdogra (IXB)/ New Jalpaiguri (NJP)
Morning departure Transfer to IXB/NJP ( 136kms/5hrs). Tour End.

Gantok Lachen & Lachun 5N6D
DAY 1: Meet & Greet on arrival at NJP and transfer to Gangtok. Evening visit local Market by walking. Overnight stay at Gangtok Hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast start for excursion to Tshangu Lake – situated at a height of 12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43Kms in 3Hrs one way, with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around and also visit Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass, back to Gangtok and Overnight stay at Gangtok Hotel.
DAY 3: Departure from Gangtok hotel for Lachen, Lunch will be served on the way. Places of interest on the way are the historic Kabi Lungtsok, Phodong Monastery. Overnight stay at Lachen.
DAY 4: After an early breakfast, drive to Gurudongmar Lake via Chopta Valley. After a quick lunch at Lachen drive to Lachung. Transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Lachung.
DAY-5: Early morning trip to Yumthang, at an elevation of 11,800 ft and 140 kms from Gangtok is a paradise for nature lovers with a fascinating blend of flora and fauna and breathtaking scenic grandeur. The valley boasts a large variety of Rhododendrons and other alpine flowers. Yumthang ‘Tsa-Chu’or the hot spring of the left bank of Lachung Chu is immensely popular for its curative properties and heal- ing power.
