Silk Route Sikkim

 

The Old Silk Route is an accessof trade from ancient  Chiana to India , then Bengal through  east Sikkim , Lhasa and Nathu La and Jelep La Pass and finally to Tamralipta (Tamluk of W.B.) from where it got the sea route and would went to western countries. Now it is a famous route of in travel world . A different taste and feeling attract travelers here , no hotel only home stay, no crowded mall or queue of passengers . DAY 02 Arrival at NJP  Start for Sillery Gaon (4/5 Hrs)  Home stay Rest. Night Stay in Sillery Gaon.

DAY 03 Early morning See Sunrise in Rameiteye view point. Have Breakfast Visit Pedong Monastery, Ramdhuta, Echa Gaon, Damsang Fort. (All on Foot) Night Stay in Sillery Gaon.

DAY 04 After breakfast, Start for Padamchen via Rangoli   (Lower Zuluk ) Night Stay in Padamchen (Lower Zuluk)    

 DAY 05 Breakfast  Visit Upper Zuluk, Thamvi View Point, Zig Zag Road, Tukla Valley,        Kalapokhri, Old Baba Mandir,Zelep-la Pass view and Kupup (13900 FT) to Lingtam .  Night Stay at Lingtam.

DAY 06 After Breakfast Start for Aritar via Kuakhola Falls. After Lunch Break visit Kalampokhri falls. Evening enjoy the beauty of Aritar. Back to Home stay.Night Stay at Aritar.

DAY 07 Breakfast  Start for New Jalpaiguri. (4/5 Hrs ) Get train for Kolkata . Night Stay in Train.

DAY 08 Back Home-Home –Sweet Home at Kolkata.

2Nights & 3Days

The 2 Nights/ 3 Days Sikkim Silk Route Package is best for those who have less travelling days in hand.

Day 1: If you want to cover the Old Silk Route package just in a weekend then this Package is best for you. Rongli is a very small village well preserved in the lap of the foothills of the Himalayas. On the way to Rongli, there are other destinations which includes Dhupidhara, Keukhola water Falls, Ghambari falls, lungthung, Salamidhara etc, which shall provide a comfort to your tired eyes, especially if you happen to be the urban lot! Although you do not have anything great to see here, there is a trade centre and Rongli market which is one of the main hub of attractions. Besides, you can just take an easy stroll across the lush green hilly walkways to enjoy the eternity of natural beauty. Over Night Stay at Resort.
Day 2: After breakfast proceed to Kupup lake enjoy the beauty of Rongli dam, Gambiray falls,Lingtam, Kew Khola falls, Phadachen, Dzuluk, Zigzag road, Thambi view poit, Laxmi chowk, Old baba mandir, New baba mandir, Gnathang valley, Kupup lake, Memayen chu lake view, Hangu falls etc and come to Zuluk for lunch, after lunch you will be back to Rongli. Over Night Stay at Resort.
Day3: After breakfast you will be dropped to NJP/ Bagdogra /. Siliguri to go back to your home with sweet memory of your short silkroute journey.

  3Nights & 4Days

Day 1: Pick from NJP to Sillary/ Reshi khola/ Aritar/ Mankim/ Echey/ Pedong/ Ramdhura etc. Over Night Stay.
Day 2: After Early Breakfast Check out from Resort & visit Eastern part of Sikkim. Zuluk which is a small village with limited number of houses on a valley on the way to the Old Silk Route. Once upon a time Chinese traders used to come to India crossing the border to sell silk products and so the route has been named Silk Route. The unique Zig Zag nature of the road has fetched the name “Bhulbhulaiya” from local people. The road has spiralled the mountain 95 times and it looks simply amazing from an altitude of 12,000 feet. The Zig Zag Road is the biggest USP of the ancient Silk Route since you will not find anything like this anywhere else in the world. Overnight at home stay.
Day 3: After Breakfast check out for Rongli. Via Kupup Sightseeing.. Overnight stay at Rongli Resort.
Day 4: After breakfast you will be dropped to NJP/ Baghdogra /. Siliguri to go back to your home with sweet memory of your silkroute journey.

  4Nights & 5Days

Day 4: Phadamcchen; Dense temperate forests surrounding the Padamcchen village is home to a huge bird population like Laughing thrushes, Fulvettas, Honey Buzzards, Steppe Eagles, Babblers, Tits, Wrens and others. The deeper regions of the forest have occasional visitors like Himalayan Black Bear and Leopards. While staying at Padamachen, you can go to watch the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjungha range from Thambi View Point (around 24 kms away) at 11,200 feet. The beautiful Kuikhola falls is just a few minutes drive from Padamchen. Overnight stay at Padamchan

Day 1: Delo-Kalimpong (Kalimpong was once a part of Bhutan, called Darlling court, with immense natural beauty which was later captured by the British & tastefully decorated according to the taste which we now enjoy.
Day2: Sillary /Echhey Gaon( Nature Walk in Pine Forest. Overnight at Icchey Gaon. N/S

Day7: After breakfast you will be dropped to NJP/ Baghdogra /. Siliguri to go back to your home with sweet memory of your silkroute journey.
